Belgium’s Capital Shuts Down Traffic for KI/KI: Sea Star Festival Headliner to Shake Brussels’ Underground

At the beginning of April, Brussels will pulse to the rhythm of KI/KI – a rave is shutting down one of the city’s busiest tunnels. The tunnel beneath Cinquantenaire Park will transform into a temple of electronic music for one day. Listen Festival and Hangar have joined forces to organize a nine-hour rave in the heart of the city, with Dutch DJ and producer KI/KI as the main headliner of this unusual event that will reroute city traffic and keep ravers dancing for hours. After shaking the Belgian underground, the leading force of contemporary techno KI/KI will arrive on the Adriatic coast in May to open the summer in the beautiful seaside lagoon of Sea Star Festival.

Limited discounted tickets priced at €49 – 40% off the final price – are available today only, until the end of the day!

This April, one of techno’s most electrifying divas KI/KI will step behind the decks and lead the Belgian rave scene through a nine-hour underground party of unprecedented scale. Known as the queen of all-nighters and a true curator of nightlife, she will headline an electronic marathon that will halt traffic in one of Belgium’s most iconic urban passages. The tunnel complex beneath Cinquantenaire Park will be transformed into a dancefloor with two stages, while additional international artists – to be announced soon – will join KI/KI in igniting the rave arena. The organizers first experimented with an underground party concept in three Belgian tunnels in 2024, and this year’s location and headliner promise to take the event to a whole new level.

Her distinctive sound, blending nostalgic and futuristic electronic elements, has filled the world’s biggest techno clubs, stadiums, and festivals. As a leading figure of the genre, KI/KI continues to prove her status with performances in unique locations – from the massive tunnels of Brussels to the magical Stella Maris lagoon in Umag. With her signature mix of acid, trance, and techno, she has even won over one of the greatest Dutch DJs of all time and one of her biggest inspirations: Armin van Buuren. The two joined forces late last year to release the track “Put Your Bassline”, which they also performed during their unforgettable back-to-back set at the AMF Festival.

Rising rapidly to the very top of the global electronic scene, KI/KI will deliver an unforgettable summer opening for visitors of the first festival of the season this May – right by the sea.

KI/KI is part of the stellar lineup of the eighth edition of Sea Star Festival, where she will perform alongside some of the biggest international and regional names. The stunning seaside lagoon will welcome West Coast hip-hop icon Xzibit, performing with his band Furnace, as well as masked DJ phenomenon Boris Brejcha. This year’s edition will also host the musical-environmental spectacle Emergency EXIT, a collaboration between EXIT Festival, Boom Festival, and the performance troupe La Fura dels Baus, featuring renowned electronic producer Satori. Joining the Tesla Main Stage will be American star Layla Benitez, one of Portugal’s most prominent DJs and producers BIIA, electronic wunderkind Lanna, and regional live sensation KOIKOI.

The lineup for the powerful Sea Star Gang stage has also been announced, featuring Amna, Grše, Hiljson Mandela, Prti Bee Gee, TBF, and Blackout Showcase w/ Phat Phillie, along with Bore Balboa, Macha Ravel, TNG, Bejbe, Noti Limun, and Tibor. The Electric Waves stage will showcase strong regional electronic acts including DJ Labud, Herya, INKA, Kim Ono, Lottie, Marcel, Marin Biočić, and Sunny Sun.

The eighth edition of Sea Star Festival will take place from May 28 to May 31, 2026, in the Stella Maris lagoon in Umag. As in previous years, the main festival days will be Friday, May 29, and Saturday, May 30, while Thursday and Sunday will be reserved for the Welcome Day and After Party.
